[Shizuo really is quite content with the silence—it's not as uncommon now, but most of his life has always been full of disruptions and getting caught up in stupid shit that usually ends with him having to fight idiots. So having this time to just chill in familiar company is like a blessing. So even if living in this realm has given him an opportunity for more of that "normal" kind of living he was deprived of back home, he still treats each one important.

It's not like he has Barok to follow, giving him little choice but to interact with others. He has to adapt, and Shizuo is willing to be a step towards that mission. Or at least, he was comfortable with how much or how little the man engages with him.]
